The bond between these sisters was incredible to witness, and even more a pleasure to capture.

Sabrina contacted me to set up a surprise photoshoot for her twin sister Vanessa while they were visiting Jasper this past weekend. She even packed a bag full of extra clothes and make up so Vanessa was prepared for the session – how adorable is that? The two were so encouraging towards one another, had infectious smiles, and shared such a special connection that I imagine you could only have with someone you shared a womb with!

We had so much fun capturing these two, but it wasn’t a sister session Sabrina hired me for. The photoshoot was actually the SECOND surprise for Vanessa on Saturday. The first surprise took place on Saturday morning.

SHE GOT ENGAGED! Jason reached out to Vanessa’s twin sister Sabrina and her fiancé Grahme to inform them of his plans to propose to Vanessa while they were visiting Jasper from Toronto. Being the wonderful (and sneaky) sister she is, Sabrina contacted me for a surprise engagement shoot for not only Jason and Vanessa, but for her and her fiance Grahme as well – double engagement!

The best part about the day was that everyone except Vanessa knew exactly what the plans were. She had no idea yet she had all the control as to how the day went. Sabrina had been texting me all morning giving me updates, I’m not sure who was more nervous to hear Vanessa’s answer - Jason or myself. As these pictures clearly show – SHE SAID YES!

To top off this double engagement session, out of the car (and tugging at my heart) comes this timid, fluffy and adorable puppy, Poe. I think it’s time for a puppy in my life!!
